Spin approved cosmetics

I'm participating in another BzzAgent campaign - this time for Neutrogena Cosmetics.  The other day a package arrived in the mail for me containing Neutrogena MoistureSmooth color stick (for the lips), Healthy lengths mascara and 2 crease proof eye shadows to try for free.  I LOVE makeup so I was pretty excited about trying it out.  Sadly I was already all made up for the day, but I immediately tried the MoistureSmooth color stick (sweet watermelon).  Now I'm not one who normally wears anything on my lips beyond chapstick, but wow I do like this.  It's the perfect shade of sheen for me and the best part is that it does have a watermelon scent to it!

The next morning I was pretty excited to try everything out.  I like the more natural look to make up so the Constant Copper and Lasting Taupe shades were just perfect for me.  What I do love about the eye shadows is the ease of applying.  You just roll it right on.  Have you ever had the problem of eye shadow getting messed up in the crease area?  They say this is crease proof and so far so good for me!  And that includes 2 pretty heavy duty, sweaty spin sessions.  That I believe says a lot.

I am trying to get used to the mascara.  It doesn't seem to be as dramatic as what I have been using.  It seems to have a lighter consistency than my L'oreal.

Here I am all prettified.  A view of the eye shadow.  I did the Constant copper on the base of the lid with a quick swipe of Lasting taupe along the crease and eyelash.  Really I'm telling you the Lasting Taupe stayed where it was supposed to at the crease!  amazing!

And me.  I actually like this picture, which is very rare for me.  Very natural looking.

So all in all I definitely give it 2 thumbs up from me.  If you haven't already give Neutrogena cosmetics a try! (and my brighter complexion is all thanks to Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Peel)

Tired of starting over

This is something I really need to remember, seriously.  How many times in the past year have I gotten lazy and had to start over?  Way too many.  This time I promise to myself that I am really not going to give up.  I'm not going to let the summer get to me like it always does.  I'm not going to stop counting the calories.  So here's to a new beginning.  A new me.  I started this off the right way this past week.  I worked out every day that I was scheduled to work out.  I am determined to continue this way of life.

Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Peel

I
I am currently taking part in the Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Peel Campaign through BzzAgent. Have you heard of it before?  I hadn't before this campaign.  Thanks to BzzAgent I was given this product to try for free.

I had horrible HORRIBLE acne growing up, yeah that did a lot for the self esteem as a teenager.  Thankfully I no longer have that issue but that acne, along with my love for the sun has left some dark spots on my skin. Here's a sample of what we're dealing with here.
It has now been 2 weeks since I have started using Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Peel and I have already noticed a difference.  Within a few days my overall complexion became brighter.  Some of the dark spots have started to fade away.  I will be taking another picture and will post in 2 more weeks.

The best part?  It's so incredibly easy to use.  After I do my nightly face cleaning, I apply the Peel and whala (is that how you spell that?) and I'm done!  That's it!  All the work is done while I'm sleeping .  In the morning I just wash my face as usual.  I had no redness or irritation, that was really my biggest concern.  Really you should give it a try if dark spots are an issue for you.

I'm back ... again....

One thing I have noticed with my horrible weight gain the past few months is that it coincides with with my husband started traveling more for work.  When he's gone, I am not able to make it to the gym due to my gym not having child care.  Next year will be a bit easier as the oldest will be in full day school and the youngest will be in preschool, which just happens to be around the corner from the gym.  so those 2 days he will be in school, I will be able to go after I drop him off. So after coming to this realization I started looking into getting a spin bike for the house.  I have been taking spin classes (thanks to groupon) on Saturdays and I just love it.  LOVE it!  I have a small house so the nice thing about a spin bike is that it doesn't take up much space and it's pretty quiet since I will be doing it most of the time  after the boys are asleep.  After reading reviews I decided on this Sunny indoor cycle and it arrived on Valentine's Day.

tonight will be my first real workout on it.  I will be watching Dance Moms.  As a way to keep it fun, I plan on upping the resistance every time Abby says Save your tears for the pillow - someone leaves the studio - Maddie cries - moms and Abby have a fight - Abby is mean to a kid - Kathy gloats -Someone insults Abby's weight - Melissa sucks up

So now I no longer have the excuse of not being able to workout.  I started up with myfitnesspal again yesterday.  I found a 5k that I will be signing up for.  I'm back.  I'm digusted with myself right now.  I can't believe I let myself gain all the weight that I had previously lost.  I hate looking at pictures of myself right now.  My clothes are tight.  I will get back to where I was last spring.  I will.  I promise myself.
